Make them work

Kris and I are always joking about how in a few years we will just sit around while the girls do all the work. But I thought I would start them a little early. It should be like this for the next 18 years right?? ;-)

Easter Eggs

We had a great time the other night dying Easter Eggs. The kids could have done it all night. A dozen eggs was NOT enough. The theme of the night was "Do Again, Please."

A couple of the eggs had an unexpected outcome. They turned out really cool but I had a hard time getting a good picture of the pink one with my digital camera. The tablet would not dissolve completly so it left really neat speckles on the egg.

Spring Craft

I found a fun spring craft. I was looking for something easy and fun for my Mom's Group. I found this on the Internet. It turned out really cute (if do say so myself).

A huge bonus was tat it was really inexpensive. I bought supplies for 15 bunnies and it cost around $25 dollars (it would not unfortunately much cheaper for one or two because you need to buy much of the supplies in packages of 10 or more). And it calls for jelly beans but you could use almost any candy.

Here is the website with the directions to make your own:

Two Holidays

We may not be Irish but we love a holiday. We had our green on but we had more fun being Princesses. Regardless of dress, Happy St. Patrick's Day.

And to mark the start of Holy Week, Caroline brought home a palm from Sunday School. They loved playing with it; as a matter of fact, they fought over it. But I was able to get a few pictures none the less.

I hope this week gives you some time to reflect and remember what Jesus did for us.

You know your in Minnesota when . . .

. . . you are enjoying the beautiful day. You walk around without your coat on. You open the windows of your house to let the fresh air in. You watch the water from the melted snow run down the street. You see people outside walking, running, biking, etc when you have not seen people for months.

And it is 40 degrees. Spring is coming.

A Hard Day Evolved Into a Good Day

Yesterday, Grace had her adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears. It was a hard day for Mom and Dad as well as Grace. But it really turned out to be a necessary and life changing surgery.

Her sinuses were block 90% by the adenoids and they were totally blocking the opening from her sinuses to her ears. The doctor thought that her colds were now be shorter and less severe and she should almost never have another ear or sinus infection.

Daddy took Grace back to get her started for her sedation. He was not a fan of doing that but we agreed that he would handle it better the Mom would. The surgery itself was really short. It took about a half an hour. hen were were in recovery for about 45 min. Then we were sent home. WE were home by 9:30. I call that crazy.

Grace was a bump on a log most of the day. But she was really in pretty good humor. And today is almost totally normal. She has even been screaming. I listen and think that has to hurt but she is fine. I am amazed but she is fine.

I am amazed at God and how He has blessed us. I have thanked Him many times over the last couple of days for all He does for us.
