I am pretty good about putting variety into our dinner menu. But I can get into such a rut with lunch. I seem to make the same few things.
What do you make for your kids for lunch? I could use some ideas.

Here are some of our favorites (besides "leftovers" from the previous night's dinner):
- peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (of course) - this is our standby when I can't decide or we need something quick
- toasty cheese sandwiches (Sometimes we do grilled cheese sandwiches, but I like doing them in the toaster oven better. It's basically a piece of bread with cheese - broiled. Optional things we put on there: mayo, turkey lunch meat, and/or spaghetti sauce. If we do cheese and spaghetti sauce then we call it pizza bread.)
- BLTs with turkey bacon
- turkey or chicken hot dogs
- mac & cheese
- salmon or tuna salad sandwiches
Plus I always serve a fruit or two and lately veggies from the garden that we picked that morning (mainly cherry tomatoes and green beans)
We usually have side dishes too, like nuts or yogurt or crackers.
